Fantasy Online shut down in 2014 after launching in 2009. Flash-era pixel MMORPG with famously snarky quest writing, launched January 29, 2009 and playable on Kongregate and Facebook. Died with Pixelated Games' bankruptcy — the closure was announced on Kongregate for January 1, 2014. Its creator later built Fantasy Online 2 as the sequel.
