A veteran of Asheron's Call and Star Trek Online who spent over a decade in mainstream MMO development before building Project: Gorgon with his wife Sandra Powers as a two-person studio. After Powers died in January 2025, Heimburg completed the game's 1.0 launch in January 2026 — roughly eight years after it entered early access.
