The father of realm-vs-realm warfare. Jacobs co-founded Mythic Entertainment, where Dark Age of Camelot's three-realm PvP became one of the genre's great structural inventions, later carried into Warhammer Online under EA. Since 2013 he has pursued a spiritual successor, Camelot Unchained, through a famously long crowdfunded development that finally reached Steam early access in 2026.
Three-realm RvR is one of the few genuinely new PvP structures the genre has ever produced, and it is his — every faction-war MMO since owes Dark Age of Camelot a royalty.— MMOlist Hall of Fame citation
