A South Korean MMORPG developer established in 2003 (the company dates itself to April 2003) by Kim Hak-kyu, previously the lead developer of Ragnarok Online at Gravity. The studio developed Granado Espada, released in 2006, and Tree of Savior, and is based in Seoul. HanbitSoft held a 40% stake from the founding and remained the largest shareholder when Nexon bought in during February 2017, selling down to roughly 28% that April; founder Kim Hak-kyu has retained management control throughout.
