Trion Worlds
Founded in 2006 as Trion World Network by Lars Buttler and Jon Van Caneghem, Trion developed the MMORPG Rift (2011), the Syfy-linked shooter Defiance (2013) and the voxel MMO Trove (2015), and published ArcheAge in the West. German publisher gamigo acquired the company in October 2018 amid heavy layoffs and disbanded it days later; its games continue under gamigo.
