The genre's dirty secret is that most MMORPGs punish you for having a life: daily quests that expire, weekly lockouts, FOMO events, guilds with attendance policies. A casual-friendly MMO is one you can put down for a month and pick back up without penalty — the games here score 4 or 5 on that scale, which is about respect for your time, not about difficulty.
